Mostella makes mark on EliteHoopsShowcase

MORE: Hill impresses at EliteHoopsShowcase
MARRIETTA, Ga.- Class of 2013 four-star prospect Detrick Mostella missed the Saturday session of the EliteHoopsShowcase, but did he ever make up for it with a sensational showing on Sunday.
At 6 feet 3, 160 pounds, Mostella, who is from Decatur, Ala., is a natural scorer in a similar fashion as elite 2013 shooting guard Chris Thomas. Mostella has an effortless stroke from long range and has the ability to make the most difficult shots seem easy. With a quick first step and explosiveness off the floor, Mostella scored at will on Sunday and was the top performer in the all star game. He does need to improve his strength and become a more physical and aggressive player when the ball is in his hands, but his scoring ability is at an elite level in the 2013 class.
Harold GivensClick Alabama, Georgia and Mercer have offered Mostella, and he is getting interest from Auburn, Miami and Michigan. Georgia is currently at the top of his list because they are recruiting him the hardest of all the schools. Here to view this Link. (2013, Columbus, Ga.)
Givens caught fire from the outside during the all star game. Prior to that perimeter outburst, most of his damage was done at the rim. At 6-foot-7, he is a top-notch athlete who also has the promise of developing a quality skill package.
Tevin GlassClick Givens listed offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss and Marquette amongst others. Here to view this Link. (2012, Alpharetta, Ga.)
A 6-foot-8 combo forward, Glass produced points on quality change of direction slashes to the basket. When the defense backed off, Glass a 2012 four-star prospect, also knocked down three-pointers. Defensively, his length and athleticism are always a factor.
Desmond RingerClick Likely a spring signee, Glass has an Auburn offer and is also interested in Arkansas, Florida State, Mississippi State, Alabama and Florida. Here to view this Link. (2013, Mcdonough, Ga.)
Ringer used his strong build to carve out space as both a scorer and rebounder. Throughout the event he was one of the most consistent performers out of the post players.
The Rivals150 prospect has offers from Marquette, South Florida, Tulane and Mercer. Strong interest is also coming in from Clemson, South Carolina, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Georgia and Georgia Tech.
Cane BroomeClick Next weekend Ringer will visit Clemson and then catch the opening of practice at Auburn the following weekend. Here to view this Link. (2013, East Hartford, Conn.)
A lefty point guard, Broome has an excellent feel for the game and effectively utilizes change of pace and direction moves. His floater is a weapon, and he is also a consistent long range shooter.
Jakeenan GantClick Quinnipiac and Fairfield have offered. Boston College watched him workout this fall and is tracking him along with San Francisco, St. Joe's, Iona and Robert Morris. Here to view this Link. (2014, Springfield, Ga.)
One of the more athletic forwards at the event, Gant used his length to impact the game on both ends. Along with a reliable jump hook, Gant also shot the ball well from long range.
Jaquez MotleyClick He currently holds offers from the College of Charleston and Georgia Southern and is also being pursued by Clemson and Georgia. Here to view this Link. (2012, Ludowici, Ga.)
A reclassified point guard, Motley was slippery with the dribble and consistently worked his way into the heart of the defense. He is still not a physical player, but he is showing signs of improved strength.
Tony BagtasClick He is currently considering offers from Western Kentucky and Chattanooga. Here to view this Link. (2013, Atlanta, Ga.)
Bagtas was one of the top guards in the all-star game. Crafty and quick with the dribble, he produced points in the midrange.
