Moses White Signs LOI

Moses White, a 5-11, 160 pound point guard from Tallahassee C.C. in Tallahassee, Fla., signed a national letter of intent with Florida A&M today.
A native of Tallahassee, White is in his second year at TCC after sitting out the 2000-2001 campaign as a transfer from the University of Georgia.

There are many things which drew White to sign with FAMU. The fact that former TCC Head Coach Mike Gillespie is now the head man for the Rattlers played a large role.
"I think Moses felt real comfortable with Coach Gillespie, because Coach Gillespie brought him in here," TCC Head Coach Eddie Barnes said. "He's played for five coaches in five years, so I think he's very smart in doing this. There are a lot of people in Tallahassee who want to see how things turn out for Moses, as far as playing ball and his education."
White is TCC's leading scorer through six games averaging 17.6 points with 4.4 assists. He transferred to TCC from the University of Georgia following the 1999-2000 season.
"Moses is very quick and very explosive," Barnes said. "He can shoot the ball, but sitting out last year, he does not have that game edge, that sharpness yet. But he's getting there. He's a high major caliber player."
Barnes is the only Tallahassee player who has signed a national letter of intent during the NCAA's early period, which runs from Nov. 14-21.
