Mosely is wide open

St. Anthony's is always one of the better basketball teams in New Jersey, and this year's team is no different as

it currently boasts a record of 17-1. A big part of the team's success has been the play of junior shooting guard
Jagan Mosely, who is averaging 14 points, four assists, and five rebounds per game this season.
Mosely combines his basketball talents with a strong academic background, and it shows in the schools that are recruiting him. Boston U, Fairfield,
Rutgers, Niagara and Brown have extended scholarship offers. Harvard, Princeton,
Georgia Tech, Stanford and St. Joe's have expressed interest in three-star guard. He's already taken unofficial visits to Rutgers, Boston U, Harvard and St. Joe's.
Harvard certainly helped themselves in their pursuit of Mosely while hosting him on his visit.
"It was a great visit," Mosely said. "I love the city of Boston. My brother Cheddi goes to Boston U and that's only about 20 minutes away from Harvard. Coach Amaker is a players' coach from what I've heard and he used to play point guard, so he knows a lot about my position."
The younger Mosely isn't ruling out the possibility of joining older brother at Boston University.
"I like their program. They are in a little slump right now because they have a lot of young guys. My brother is starting there as a freshman."
Rutgers is doing their best to convince Mosely to stay home and play for the in-state school.
"They are in a re-building process right now with their new coach. Coach Jordan said they want to recruit more players from New Jersey to bring other players with them. They have had a couple big wins this year. They beat
Wisconsin."
Stanford, like Harvard, needs to continue to monitor his academics before offering a scholarship, but they have been in frequent contact. Mosely had the opportunity to watch them play in person earlier this season.
"That's a great program. I went to their game when they played up here against
Duke. They have a lot of freedom in their offense."
Mosely plans to let the recruiting process play out and is in no hurry to make a commitment.
"Right now, everything is wide open. I probably want to commit before my next high school and focus on my senior season and get the stress out of the way. The playing style, the coaches and the academics will be the big factors for me."
