Mory Correa Lists Six Top Schools

Mory Correa, an athletic 6-9, 215 pound power forward from Pratt C.C. in Pratt, Kan., has a list of six schools that he is considering this summer.
A native of France with roots in the Senegal, Correa was one of the more impressive freshmen big men that JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com scouted last summer.

Correa said he is considering Creighton, Louisville, Cleveland State, LaSalle, Illinois and Duquesne. He said he is hoping to visit several of the schools on his list in the fall, but was not sure when he would sign.
"My head is kind of full right now," Correa said. "So many schools are calling me and telling me that I am good and I can get a lot of playing time. But those are the schools I am interested in now."
Correa averaged 14.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game for a 13-17 squad that stumbled to a 1-15 ledger in the Jayhawk West.
Due to the team's poor performance in league play, Head Coach Bernie Pearson was let go and Earl Diddle was hired as the new Pratt head man.
Correa attended Jerry Mullen's JUCO Showcase in Tulsa a few weeks ago, and he admitted that the intensity of the players at the event took him by surprise a bit.
"I did not play my best, but I think I did all right," Correa said. "There was a lot of intensity there."
What sets Correa apart from many European transplants is his willingness to do the dirty work inside. Sure he's tall, mobile and athletic, but he goes after every rebounds like he owns it and is not averse to challenging opponents that drive to the basket.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Correa's recruitment, so stay tuned!
