Dan Morrissey, a 6-3, 175 pound shooting guard from IMG Academy in Florida, has had some high majors taking a look at him early in his recruiting process. Morrissey, a member of the 2004 class, averaged close to 22 points a game last season as a sophomore before injuring himself. But he has high hopes to better his season this year as a junior, according to Dan's mom and dad.

Dan's family told us today that their son is receiving serious interest recently from Georgia Tech, Florida State, Miami, Dayton, West Virginia and Ohio State. These schools came in to watch Morrissey work out in the last evaluation period.

Morrissey, who hails from the state of Ohio, has already taken an unofficial visit to Notre Dame. According to Dan's family, the trip to Notre Dame went well and Dan liked visiting the Irish campus in South Bend, Indiana.
