Morris reveals offers

Sophomore prospect Jason Morris is a hot commodity. Schools from across the country have traveled to the Lakeville (Conn.) Hotchkiss School to watch the 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard and seven schools have already offered.
Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Clemson, South Carolina, Auburn and Virginia have all offered Morris according to Hotchkiss head coach Fred Benjamin. The latest schools to evaluate Morris are Arizona State and Boston College, and he is also receiving strong interest from Florida, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Texas, Villanova and Xavier.

Morris, who has played in elite camps at Boston College, Arizona and Florida, recently took in the Midnight Madness festivities at Georgetown.
"I liked the atmosphere and energy," Morris said. "It was good to see a school where the students are fully supporting the team. It's not just the coaches and players behind what the program is doing. The students and teachers are behind the program as well."
Originally from Augusta, Ga., Morris will not be limited by geography when he chooses a college.
"Where the school is located doesn't matter at all," he said. "One of the main things I'll be looking at is what kind of offense the team runs. I prefer an open offense where everyone gets touches over a constricted offense."
As a freshman, Morris averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and three blocks per game.
