Brandon Morris, a 6-0, 180-pound point guard from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa, committed to St. Louis.
He visited St. Louis from September 20-22nd and also considered Wisconsin Green Bay and Missouri-Kansas City. Morris attended high school at St. Joe's in Wisconsin. He had signed with Central Michigan two years ago. After failing to qualify academically, Morris headed off to Iowa Western.
"He felt more comfortable getting the decision out of the way," said IWCC head coach Jim Morris (no relation). "He has known coach Sodeberg when he was at Wisconsin."
Last season, Morris averaged six points and four assists for a 22-9 club at Iowa Western. "Brandon brings a lot of things to the table," Morris said. "He is a true point guard who gets others involved and the St. Louis coaching staff saw that. He has a tremendous work ethic and he doesn't care about scoring. He only cares about winning."
