Morgan to be a Spartan

There was little doubt that Raymar Morgan, the No. 48 ranked prospect in the Rivals, would end up in the Big Ten, and on Sunday the 6-foot-7, 210-pound combo forward from McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio, cast his lot with the Spartans of Michigan State.
"I committed to Michigan State today," Morgan told Rivals.com. "I'm very excited about it. I think it's the perfect fit for me. I like everything about Michigan State, from the players to the coaches and the campus."

Morgan, who averaged 22 points and 12 rebounds per game last year for his high school team and had a very strong summer with the King James Shooting Stars AAU program, is ready to step in and contribute right away for Michigan State.
"I think there is a good opportunity for me to play early with Maurice Ager leaving," he said. "I'm really looking forward to going to Michigan State and continuing the tradition."
Morgan said he chose Michigan State over Ohio State and Michigan.
