More Schools Recruit Lowry

The way Kyle Lowry played this summer had to make college coaches yearn to have an opportunity to sign him in November. Some lucky school will land Lowry this Fall. And there are two more major programs trying to wiggle its way into his recruiting race.
"I have heard from Virginia Tech and Florida State," Lowry said. "I spoke to both coaching staffs. I am not sure what I will do with them. I am not sure if they will be part of my recruiting."

Lowry has stated he wants to utilize all five visits. "Connecticut, Kansas, Syracuse, Xavier, and Pittsburgh are still high on my list," Lowry said. "I would like to take five visits before I decide."
Lowry has already taken a trip to Xavier. "I like the coaching staff there and the players," Lowry said. "They have always done a great job in the Atlantic 10. I liked the campus too when I was on my visit."
The 5-foot-11 point guard from Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, Penn. also stated it's too close to call in his recruiting process.
"I like Connecticut because of their coaching staff," he said. "I like the way they have an up and down style of play. I think I would fit in well there with that type of offense."
On Kansas: "They have a great tradition. They have been to the Final Four in recent years. Coach Bill Self lets his guards play."
On Pittsburgh: "They have a young coaching staff there. They won the Big East recently. It's local too."
On Syracuse: "They won the National Championship last year. Coach Boeheim knows how to win and he knows how to get players into the pros."
Lowry refused to name a leader in this recruiting process. "It's too close," he said. "I need to take more visits before I decide. I don't know when I will take my visits but I do want to take some this Fall."
