More Schools Calling on German Guard

North Carolina’s single game scoring leader, Edwin Ofori-Attah, of Statesville Christian (NC) High School has picked up interest from one Big 12 school and a couple of SEC schools.

Ofori-Attah,a 6-foot-4, 205-pound shooting guard, had been flying under the recruiting radar because he did not play this past summer in America, but played for the German Junior National Team. After his recent scoring outbursts against quality opponents such as Mt. Zion Christian Academy (45 points) and the Italian Junior National Team (54 points), he is catching the attention of high major schools.

“Things are still going well for Edwin,” said Statesville Christian coach John Jordan. “Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt just called about him and want to watch him play.”
