More Schools Call On Lowry

More schools are trying to jump in on lead guard Kyle Lowry of Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, Penn. After Syracuse landed Josh Wright of Utica, New York, Lowry's list narrowed to two schools -- Pittsburgh and Connecticut. But now due to the word making its way to several other high major programs, more schools are expressing interest. Some is initial interest and others are more serious.
"Well, besides Connecticut and Pittsburgh, my coach has heard from Kansas, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Villanova," Lowry said. "Some of these schools like North Carolina are just initial interest asking where I stand just in case it changes."

Lowry, 5-foot-11 and a legitimate McDonald's All American candidate for the Spring 2004 game in Oklahoma City, Okla., stated he will be a little busy this week. "I have UCONN in tomorrow night for an in home visit," he said. "I also expect to take an unofficial visit to Villanova."
When Syracuse dropped out, Lowry's visit to the Orangemen's campus was cancelled. However, Lowry does plan on taking a trip this upcoming weekend. "I am scheduled to visit Connecticut," Lowry said. "After that I don't know where I will visit. I have to see what my coach has to say about the other schools."
Lowry is rated the 20th best player in the 2004 class in the Rivals150.
