More Schools After Thomas

Torrey Thomas (right), a 5'10'' 160 pound point guard from Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford, Connecticut, is hearing from a bunch of low to mid-level schools this fall.
Thomas has fielded serious interest from Hartford, Lafayette, and Boston University. He has also heard from Iona, Siena, Marist, Princeton, and Brown. Hartford will make an in-home visit today. He has already visited the campus of the America East school.

Thomas is a stocky lead guard who excels at penetrating and dishing. Torrey looks to pass first and is an able distributor. He is an undersized point but has good upper body strength.
Thomas had previously impressed Rivals Hoops in June at The Rumble in the Bronx. Thomas played this summer with Ervin Braun and Ken Ayers' Connecticut Flame AAU program. He competed in the 17 and under Nationals in Orlando with the Flame, alongside Sam Manhanga, Cornelio Guibunda, T.Ron Christy, and company. Torrey also competed in New York's Empire State Games, as he is a native of White Plains, New York, in Westchester County.
Thomas carries a 3.3 GPA. He has scored 870 on the SAT. He will take the test again on October 12th.
Thomas's high school, Trinity Catholic, will likely be etched onto coaches' roadmaps for the next few years. Along with Thomas, Trinity features 6'5'' junior swingman Dave McClure, who made a big splash at the ABCD camp this summer, as well as two sophomores who will be worth keeping an eye on down the road in 6'2'' wing Craig Austrie and 6'7'' BF/C Ryan Shields.
