More On Kevin Hylands Decision

Kevin Hyland, a 6-8 forward from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York, also plays for the Westchester Hawks AAU team. Kevin has committed to Holy Cross over Harvard, Yale, and Manhattan.

Holy Cross," Hyland said. "And it also seemed like their team would have a better chance(than the other schools) of being good for my four years, basketball-wise.
"I visited Holy Cross officially the first week of September. It was fun. Two weeks later, I took an official visit to Harvard. I had originally cut my list down to Davidson, Columbia, Holy Cross, Harvard, and Yale. Then I cut my list down to Harvard, Yale, and Holy Cross."
Kevin had offers from Davidson and Manhattan.
Kevin, whose father played for Vince Lombardi on the Green Bay Packers, is an excellent student who achieved a 1430 on the SAT.
Hyland is a developing big man who played alongside Akin Akingbala on the Westchester Hawks this summer. The consummate student-athlete, Hyland is a post player with considerable upside who will figure prominently in Holy Cross's plans down the road.
Rivalshoops.com has watched Kevin play several times over the past six months. He is a hard worker who runs the floor hard. He also has a chance to be a very good college basketball player because his willingness to learn. And he is at a wonderful program to learn under head coach Ralph Willard.
