More on Craft: A Player To Watch This Summer

The summer is a timeframe for all rising seniors to showcase their talents. It is no exception that this period of court time is very important to Alex Craft, a 6-8, 205-pound forward from Flour Bluff High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Selling points on TCU: "Selling points were the new conference and that Coach Tubbs is a big man's coach ..." -- according to Alex's family...
"I am working on my ballhandling and perimeter skills," Craft said. "I realize when I go to the college level I will not be able to post up all the time."
Craft, who averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks per game last season, is expected to put his skills on display in Las Vegas for the Big Time tournament as well as the AAU event in Denton, Texas, and the SMU basketball camp.
"I have been getting letters from schools like Texas Tech, TCU, Harvard, Columbia, Yale," Craft said. "I am pretty much open."
Other schools of interest are Davidson, Stony Brook, and Princeton. Craft has already achieved close to a 1200 on his SAT and has a terrific GPA.
"I can bench press about 220 now," Craft said. "I want to get stronger before I start the summer."
