More On Atsur His Recruiting

Engin Atsur, a 6-4 combo guard from the country of Turkey, should be finishing up his final visit this weekend. Atsur, who has taken four other visits, is in the process of finishing up his visit to Texas and Rick Barnes' basketball program. Atsur, 18 years old, will be a senior in high school this season and eligible for the 2003-2004 season.

Atsur, who possesses good perimeter skills and can handle either backcourt position with effectiveness, has already taken trips to Siena, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, and Clemson. Sources tell us that NC State and Siena are very strong in this recruiting process. Remember, Clemson just landed a guard. Atsur is expected to make a decision after he finishes up his visit to Austin, Texas.

Many who have seen Atsur play in person (RivalsHoops.com has not) tell us that Atsur can shoot the long range ball and also distribute when given the opportunity to handle the basketball. He is not fast (as far as the footwork) but is capable of being a good college basketball player.
