More On Abdi Lidonde

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND -- Abdi Lidonde, a 6-4, 185-pound shooting guard from St. Andrew's High School in Barrington, Rhode Island, has now expanded his list of schools, according to head coach Mike Hart. "Abdi's recruiting has really picked up," Hart told us. "He also played well yesterday. He should be ready to have a great summer."
Abdi showed great shooting skills yesterday at the Hoop Group's event in Rhode Island. Lidonde lit up the Long Island Panthers for 24 points, including six three-pointers. His great effort helped the Rhode Island Breakers beat the Panthers 69-65.

Lidonde also was impressive at the 2002 National Prep School Invitational held on the campus of Bryant College. Lidonde averaged close to 20 points during the two games he played. These were games RivalsHoops.com saw in person.
Lidonde hit nine three-pointers in two games he competed in that particular event. Lidonde, who comes from Sutton, Massachusetts, will be at the ABCD camp this July.
He already has several schools interested in him including Seton Hall, Boston College, Stanford, Princeton, Notre Dame, Syracuse, William & Mary, and Davidson. "He could end up at a high division one program or a mid-major," Hart said. "But he is definitely a division one player."
According to St. Andrew's head basketball coach Mike Hart, Lidonde is a very good student, making him even easier to recruit.
