More and More Schools on Douglas-Roberts

Chris Douglas-Roberts, the No. 24 ranked player in the class of 2005, is becoming one of the more sought after recruits in the country. The 6-foot-5, 170-pound combo guard from Cass Tech High School in Detroit told RivalsHoops.com that he does not have a list, but he did name eleven schools that have offered scholarships.
“I’m wide open right,” said Douglas-Roberts. “I don’t have a l even have a list right now. More and more schools are getting involved. I’ve talked with a lot of assistant coaches lately.”

“The schools that are most interested and have offered scholarships are Connecticut, Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, DePaul, Cincinnati, and UCLA.”
Douglas-Roberts did say that in a couple weeks he would formulate a list and begin taking visits.
“In two or three weeks I’ll narrow my list down, and then soon after that I’ll be taking my visits. And I plan to use all five.”
Douglas-Roberts, who plays for The Family AAU club, is looking for a family feel in his future college team.
“I’m looking for a school that can give me a good education,” he said. “I’d like to go to a place with a close knit team. My AAU team is called The Family, and that is what we are like, a family. And of course everyone would like to have a chance to play early.”
Blessed with a strong skill set and feel for the game, Douglas-Roberts is working hard to improve the two weaker areas of his game.
“I’m working on my body, trying to gain weight and get stronger. I’ve been lifting like crazy.”
“When in the gym, I’m working on every aspect of my game, but I’ve been putting a lot of emphasis on my jumper. I don’t shoot as well as I want to at this point. Usually, I get 300 to 350 jumpers up in a day.”
