Mobley Makes Decision

Prentice Mobley, a 6-0, 155 pound point/combo guard from Florida C.C. in Jacksonville, Fla., committed to Georgia Southern. Head coach Greg Gierke told us that Mobley signed with Georgia Southern today.
Mobley last week took an official visit to the University of Dayton. But the Flyers landed DeMatha point guard Warren Williams recently, eliminating their desire to sign him.

Mobley has already taken visits to New Orleans and Georgia Southern.
Manhattan and Florida Atlantic were trying to secure the last two official visits out of Mobley this spring, Gierke said.
Mobley enjoyed a terrific sophomore campaign, leading the state of Florida in scoring. He also became FCC-J's all-time leading scorer and broke half of the school's scoring records, Gierke said.
"He's the best player who has ever played for me," the coach said. "He's really a point guard at the highest levels."
"He's a good ball handler with a better than two to one assists to turnover ration," Gierke continued. "He's a good scoring point guard who played both one and two for me."
