Mitchells recruitment taking shape

Four-star big man Charles Mitchell has a core group of schools who have recruiting him over the long haul and a few who are trying to get in late. Very soon, he will decide which of the group he will officially visit.
Cincinnati, Florida State, Maryland and Tennessee have been quite visible at Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler High School game for Mitchell according to his travel team coach Peaches of the Worldwide Renegades.

Georgia and Seton Hall, whom Mitchell has unofficially visited, are also prominent in his recruitment.
Newcomers to the mix are Memphis, Virginia and Mississippi State who have recently shown strong interest in Mitchell.
A couple schools enjoy an advantage of having close friends of Mitchell who will be on their 2012-2013 rosters.
"Charles has been up to Tennessee at least three times," said Peaches. "And now they have his good friend Jarnell Stokes. Charles and he talk almost daily.
"Charles definitely wants to get up to Cincinnati, Florida State and Maryland for officials. Then he has to decide what to do with those other two visits. Memphis has a good shot at one of those because Damien Wilson is going there. He and Charles pretty much grew up together."
Mitchell, the No. 76-ranked prospect in the Rivals150, will determine his visit list soon after he takes the SAT this Saturday.
As far as how his senior campaign is going, Mitchell and his Wheeler squad have hit tough times with the loss of two senior guards to academic ineligibility. Mitchell, however, has picked his game up with three 20-plus games in his last outings.
