Missouri State picks up power forward

From the very start, Cuonzo Martin and his staff made it very clear that they wanted to keep Christian Kirk home for college. Wednesday night, the Bears got their wish when Kirk offered up a verbal commitment.
A 6-foot-7 power forward at Springfield (Mo.) Kickapoo, Kirk decided there was no reason to wait any longer.

"I picked Missouri State because they have always stuck with me through my AAU and high school career," Kirk told Rivals.com. "I really like the coaching staff and the city of Springfield."
Kirk is an athletic insider who had his best games against his stiffest competition while playing during the summer with KC Pump 'N Run. He'll man the interior while working to improve his face-up skills while at Missouri State.
"They are going to use me as a power forward," said Kirk. "They are going to start developing my outside game and ball handling skills so I can play more on the outside."
