Missouri State lands three-star forward

Paul Lusk and his staff at Missouri State wanted to make sure they found a four man who could face up and score from the class of 2012. Sunday morning, they got it done.
Three-star combo forward Gavin Thurman from Wichita (Kan.) Heights committed to the Bears during his official visit.

"He wanted to go somewhere close to home," said Thurman's summer coach L.J. Goolsby of KC Pump 'N Run. "He also has a good relationship with the staff and assistant coach Steve Woodberry along with some of the current players who have played in our program."
Thin with long arms, Thurman is a scorer. He likes to face up and bury jumpers, uses a jump hook in the post and has range that extends easily to three-point line,
Goolsby thinks that Thurman will remind Missouri State fans of another player who came from the KC Pump 'N Run program and has had success in Springfield.
"He's a skilled four man that fits the mode of a Kyle Weems who they've had a lot of success with." said Goolsby.
