For the second week in a row, Mississippi State has started off their week with a high level commitment.

After landing five-star forward Reggie Perry last week, Ben Howland and the Bulldogs have landed four-star shooting guard D.J. Stewart.

Stewart told Rivals.com that his reasons for picking the Bulldogs were pretty simple saying simply, "Staff and the program," when asked what convinced him to make the early call.

As recently as April, Steward didn't have a single division one offer. Then he hit the grassoots circuit with the Mississippi Express and things took off for him.

Stewart has good size for a shooting guard, has plenty of range on his jumper and is a very good athlete who has considerable upside.

He's willing to do whatever he can to contribute and get Mississippi State headed in the right direction.

"I will do whatever it takes to help them win," said Stewart. "(My) goal is to win the SEC."
