Athletic power forward Charles Rhodes registered a triple double leading the Magnolia Stars to an opening round win over Houston-based Team NCI Hoop Stars at the Kingwood Classic in Houston, Texas.
The 6-foot-8, 220-pound, Jackson, Mississippi native is a long and lean athletic forward that is very active and excels in running the floor. Rhodes has the ability to change a game with his shot blocking ability. Offensively, he has a consistent 15-foot jump shot and posts hard in the paint.
Rhodes, a serious top 100 candidate for the class of 2004, is originally from Texas and may favor the Big 12. He currently lists Arkansas, Syracuse, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Mississippi State as his favorites (order as mentioned).
“I could possibly decide during the summer but I’m not ready and I’m not going to rush into a decision,” he said. “I do plan to sign during the early period.”
