Minor Clarifies His Recruiting

Tac Minor, an ultra quick 5-9, 175 pound scoring point guard from Booker T. Washington H.S. in Houston, Tex., told us he does not have a top five list. However, Minor said he is wide open.
Minor enjoyed a productive weekend at the 8th Annual Kingwood Classic. "I have many schools on my list," Minor said. "I don't have a favorite. I don't have a top two. I don't have a top five."

Minor erupted for 34 points in the championship game as the Houston Hoops defeated Ft. Sooy No Limit, 83-69.
An explosively quick driver who finishes seemingly at will on his forays to the basket, Minor looks primarily to score on his drives, but he's not averse to slashing and dishing to open teammates.
Despite not being a great athlete, Minor has a tricky handle and shifty gear that enable him to consistently elude defenders on his way to the basket. On the down side, his on the ball defense can be better and he often wears his emotions on his sleeve, sometimes resulting in technical fouls of the taunting variety.
Minor told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he could officially visit Cincinnati this spring, although he said he has no concrete date set up to do so. Others under consideration include UNLV, Florida State, Kentucky, Florida, Duke, Texas, UConn, Arizona and Louisiana State. "There are others but I can't remember them all right now," Minor said. "I won't cut my list down until after the summer."
Before Minor picks a college, he'll need to resolve where he will attend high school next fall. He is pretty certain he won't be back at Booker T. Washington, and there has been talk he could transfer to fast rising power Heritage Christian H.S. of Cleveland, Tex., in the fall. "I am also considering Westbury Christian too," Minor said. "I don't know yet where I might be going."
Minor averaged 30 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three steals per game as a junior at BTW.
Minor plans on attending the Nike All-American Camp in July, and will tour both the spring and summer circuits with Hal Pastner's Houston Hoops program. "I will be at the Memorial Day tournament in Indiana," Minor said. "I also plan on being at the Showcase."
We'll keep you posted on his future plans in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to Rivalshoops.com for more details on Minor and other top prospects in the Class of 2003.
