Minnoy Adjusting To Perimeter

Nate Minnoy spent a great deal of time this summer working on and developing his perimeter skills. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound small forward / shooting guard from Hales Franciscan High School in Chicago, IL., is at his best when making things happen down low in the paint area, but Minnoy is being more comfortable playing out on the perimeter and, because of that, several high major schools are taking notice.
“Everything is going well for Nate. He developed a perimeter game this summer, so his game on the court has definitely expanded,” Hales Franciscan High School Head Coach Gary London said. “He’s taking more three point shots for us this year, but his strength is still down in the paint area.

“I think Nate is still making the adjustment to playing the perimeter, but he is really coming along just fine,” he added.
Minnoy is still in the beginning stages of his recruitment, but things have starting to pick up as of late. He is receiving a lot of interest from schools in the Big Ten, but it will not be long before schools from other conferences start taking notice.
“Illinois, Toledo, Purdue, Wisconsin and a few other Big Ten schools are recruiting Nate right now,” Coach London said. “He gets a ton of mail from other schools on a daily basis, but those are the main schools showing interest in him right now.
“I really believe that Nate will take his time with this decision,” he added. “I guess it all depends on what schools actually get involved in his recruitment. I imagine that Nate will take all five official visits and then make a decision once his visits are complete. I really don’t get the impression that Nate is in a hurry to end this process.”
