Minnesota PG Headed To Prep School
Ramone Penny, a slippery 6'1'', 170 pound point guard from De La Salle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has some academic schools eyeing him entering the fall.
Penny has decided to take a post grad year at Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. Brown and Navy are Penny's most serious suitors at this point. Eastern Michigan and Towson have also inquired.

Penny competed with coach Ryan Thornton and Team Minnesota at The Three Stripes Tournament at Hofstra University in July. He also moonlighted with The Richmond (VA) Squires on the AAU circuit.
Penny carries a 3.1 GPA and has scored 910 on the SAT. He will take the test again this fall.
