Dante Milligan, a 6-8, 200 pound combination/power forward from Trinity Pawling H.S. in Pawling, N.Y., recently gave the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com an early peak into his recruitment.
Milligan gave us a list of 10 schools -- George Washington, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, Georgetown, Providence, St. John's, Stanford and Siena.
Whether or not those programs seriously recruit Milligan come the fall could depend on what kind of spring and summer he has on the club basketball circuit.
A long and lanky forward who is an effective rebounder, Milligan likes to float out to the wing and face the basket, suggesting that he could be a three man down the road.
This past season for Bill Casson's Trinity Pawling program, Milligan averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and four blocks per game.
This spring and summer, Milligan could play for a couple of different programs -- the Long Island Panthers and the Student Athlete Broncos. Last summer, he suited up for Doc Niceli's Broncs, while this spring, he appeared with Gary Charles' Panthers at the Charlie Weber Invitational at Villanova.
Either way, the New York City native said that he is hoping to receive an invite to the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey this July. He also expects to attend the Eastern Invitational Basketball Clinic in July.
A solid student in the classroom, Milligan said he has a 3.5 GPA and took the ACT back on Apr. 6. He will next sit for the SAT exam on May 4.
