Millers time came to make the call

On Monday, Daniel Miller decided that the time was right to end his recruitment. The 6-foot-10, 235 center from Loganville (Ga.) Christian is headed to Georgia.
Miller picked the hometown program over Georgia Tech and Stanford.

"I thought about it and Georgia was the team that I have always cheer for and I've always been a fan of theirs," Miller said. "I was there for my visit [last week] and it was awesome. Coach [Dennis] Felton is a really great guy and I felt like that was someone that I could really be successful playing for."
The Dawgs shadowed Miller the entire July period. Felton was a constant presence on the sidelines and saw the three-star center in action from start to finish during the evaluation period.
Miller gives the Dawgs a big-bodied post presence with great size, good shot-blocking skills and a high basketball IQ for a player at his position.
"They said they will use me at the five position. Once I get there and get the help from them, I'll have a better idea on who they plan on using me."
Miller joins fellow in-state prospect DeMario Mayfield in Georgia's 2009 recruiting class. The Dawgs played host to Derrick Favors and Terrence Shannon for visits last weekend as well.
