Miles trims list; decision coming

Skyline High School small forward/shooting guard C.J. Miles was hoping to have a decision made about his future on Sunday evening, but that did not happen. Instead, the 6-foot-5, 195-pound Dallas native eliminated one of the schools on his list. The No. 26 ranked player in the class of 2005 will announce his decision during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
“We have just about made a decision,” Calvin Miles, Sr. said. “C.J. and I will have everything wrapped up later this evening. We have decided to trim his list of schools down to two. C.J. has eliminated Georgia Tech from his list. Kansas and Texas are the two finalists.

“C.J. is scheduled to make his announcement at a 3:00 PM press conference on Tuesday afternoon,” he added. “It’s going to be Kansas or Texas, but we will not make the announcement until Tuesday. The press conference will take place at Skyline High School.”
There was a time when Kansas was considered the overwhelming team to beat for Miles, but much has changed within the last month. Texas has made up a lot of ground in a short period of time, and appears to be the favorite right now.
Miles, the No. 4 ranked small forward in the class, will sign his letter-of-intent during the early signing period.
