The attraction of playing close to home helped the BYU Cougars land the state of Utah’s top 2004 prospect Chris Miles.

Miles, a 6-foot-10, 215-pound center from Timpview High School in Provo, Utah chose BYU over Gonzaga, with Utah State as the third school on his list.
Miles had a strong familiarity with the BYU program, visiting the campus numerous times and watching the team practice.
Being a versatile and skilled center, Miles is an offensive threat on the inside against smaller player and dangerous on the perimeter against bigger players. Defensively, he will need to continue to gain weight to successfully defend big bodies in the paint.
The No. 15 center and No. 123 player in the Rival150 should certainly make an impact for the Cougars in the Mountain West Conference.
