Miles Listing Seven

The No. 28 ranked player in the class of 2005 Calvin Miles of Dallas Skyline High School and Team Texas is poised to move up the Rivals.com rankings. The 6-foot-6 small forward displayed the post up ability of a power forward and the three point shooting and ball handling of a shooting guard. He is now listing seven schools, all of which have offered, and he was most impressed with his visits with two of them.
“My top schools are Uconn, North Carolina, Kansas, Texas, Georgia Tech, Arizona, and Illinois,” said Miles after Team Texas’ Kingwood quarterfinal loss to the Georgia Stars. “All of them have offered scholarships.”

Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, and Boston College have all been to Dallas recently to visit Miles. Miles said that he was most impressed by the presentation of two of these schools.
“Texas and North Carolina were the most impressive,” said Miles. “You would think that North Carolina would come in and just be like we are North Carolina, but they took the time to really break things down for me. Texas also broke things down for me really well as far as personnel on the roster and everything. Coach Barns even used index cards for the roster breakdown.”
Miles is a big time prospect, oozing with NBA potential. He has a very good all around offensive game. He can score in the low post and mid-post, pull up in the mid-range, get to the basket, shoot it from behind the arc, and he is an excellent passer in the open court.
He does need work on his defensive toughness, and he needs to gain strength. Once he gains strength and becomes a defensive stopper, Miles will be an NBA caliber player.
