Miles List Expanding

As Calvin Miles’ stock increases so does his list of schools. The No. 28 ranked player in the class of 2005 is considering offers from nine very good high major programs, and the 6-foot-6, 210-pound wing player is also considering one program that has not yet offered.
"I’m interested in Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Baylor, Illinois, Arizona, and Duke,” said Miles, who plays for Dallas Skyline High School. “All have offered except Duke. I plan to narrow the list down as the summer goes on."

Miles plans on signing early but must first take the SAT this summer and then get his visits in.
"I take the SAT in June and will start taking my visits in the fall,” he said. “I’d like to make my decision before my senior year starts, so I can concentrate on my season."
A strong relationship with the head coach and a depth chart favorable to early playing time are two criteria for choosing a school that Miles has continually mentioned in interviews.
"I’m looking for a good relationship with the coach,” said Miles. “Also I want to receive a good education. I will be looking at what players are at my position. I want the opportunity to play early."
It has been noted in earlier interviews that Roy Williams, Rick Barns, and Scott Drew have all maid favorable impressions on Miles.
Miles projects on the college level as a shooting guard with post up capabilities and strong open court skills with the ball. The defensive end is where his game needs the most work.
"I think my greatest strength is my versatility being able to play a few positions," said Miles when analyzing his game. “I’m working on my lateral quickness so I can defend smaller players better."
Miles will be in New Orleans with Team Texas on Memorial Day weekend and will participate in the Nike Camp in July.
