Miles injures thumb

The No. 26 ranked player in the Rivals150 and future Texas Longhorn Calvin Miles tore a ligament in his right thumb during a game last Friday night and faces the possibility of season ending surgery. Despite the recommendation of surgery, the 6-foot-5, 195-pound, left-handed shooting guard played in Skyline High Schools' blowout win on Tuesday night as the family seeks a second opinion concerning the injury.
According to The Dallas Morning News, surgery is scheduled for January 27, and a full recovery would not be expected until after the end of the season.

Miles scored 10 points in the win Tuesday night and scored 27 points and had 13 rebounds in the game when he injured his thumb.
Skyline High School from Dallas, Texas is 19-5, with Miles averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists per game.
An excellent passer in the open court, Miles has the ability to score in a variety of ways on the court. Tough on the glass when he pursues rebounds, he just needs to add strength to his thin frame in order to be an impact player in the Big 12. If he adds this strength and tightens up his outside shot and defense, he has the makings of an NBA shooting guard.
