Mike Pilgrim Has Early Interest

Although he plays on a traveling team with more noted players such as Robert Hite and Deforest Riley, Mike Pilgrim had some tremendous moments at the recent Memorial Day Classic in Bloomington, Ind.
Though his height makes him a bit of a tweener, the 6-6, 190 pound Pilgrim displayed an excellent power game for Ozie Davis' Queen City Prophets in Bloomington.

Pilgrim, who will be a senior at Purcell Marian H.S. next year, is a lefty power forward who goes to war on the glass. He has the ability to get between bodies and grab rebounds in heavy traffic, and his athleticism allows him to be a shotblocking force on the defensive end.
Pilgrim has seen early interest from Tennessee and Youngstown State, although Davis told the Insiders Report that there's a chance Pilgrim could do two more years of high school since he is young for his grade.
As a junior at Purcell Marian, Pilgrim averaged eight points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks per game. He said he has an 81 average in the classroom, but will not take the SAT for the first time until the fall.
Pilgrim will travel this summer with the Prophets, and we hope to have their summer slate of events on the site in the near future.
