Mike Nardi Is Still Recovering

Mike Nardi, a 6-1, 160 pound junior point guard from St. Patrick H.S. in Elizabeth, N.J., is hoping to be back in action for the Celtics shortly.
Nardi has been out the entire 2001-2002 season due to an acute stress fracture in his foot. St. Pat's Head Coach Kevin Boyle said he hopes to have Nardi back in action by Feb. 1, assuming he gets the medical clearance to play from doctors.

An excellent student, Nardi ranks number one in his class, according to Boyle. Thus far this season, he has been reduced to being a spectator on the sidelines.
Boyle said that Duke, UConn, Villanova, Seton Hall, Rutgers and Florida have expressed an interest in Nardi, an offensive minded floor general.
"They see him as a Steve Blake type who can shoot it better," Boyle said.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com plans on catching St. Pat's in action several times over the next month, and we'll keep you abreast of his situation, so stay tuned.
