Mids After Big Man

Anthony Lalor, a 6'9'', 225 pound power forward/center from Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, made his presence known defensively at the Real Scout All-Star Classic in New York City Wednesday night.
Lalor possesses a long frame and considerable wingspan. He is quick off his feet and showed good timing blocking shots. Lalor impacted the game on the defensive end of the floor and on the glass. His offensive game looks like it needs some polish, but he showed the ability to seal his man effectively.

Lalor, who will be a sophomore at West Co. in the fall, attended Dewitt Clinton High School in The Bronx. He had originally signed with George Washington. When coach Tom Penders resigned, Lalor cast his lot with Drexel. After not qualifying academically, he enrolled at Westchester.
Lalor has heard early on from South Alabama, Hartford, and South Florida, according to his college coach, Winston Nicholas. He does not have any scholarship offers yet. South Florida head coach Seth Greenberg was one of the many college coaches in attendance on Wednesday night.
"He's not going to sign early," said Nicholas. "He wants to sign late. He just wants to concentrate on academics and working hard."
