The commitment of 2010 five-star center Adreian Payne pushed the Spartans up to No. 5 after being 15th in last week's rankings.
The No. 20 prospect in the Rivals150, Payne will give the Spartans a shot of length and athleticism in the interior.
The only other change in the rankings is the addition of combo forward Josh Huestis to the Stanford class, which is ranked No. 9 and is the only Pac-10 team in the rankings.
The top conference is the ACC, which has a staggering seven teams in the top 14 spots of the rankings. The Big Ten is second with four teams, including Ohio State at No. 1.
The Big East and SEC are represented by four teams each. Memphis is the only Conference-USA team in the rankings, and the Atlantic-10 has both Xavier and Dayton in the top 25.
