Michigan grabs Hargrave combo forward

The Michigan Wolverines got some news from a member of the class of 2010 on Tuesday. Colton Christian a 6-foot-6 inch tall combo forward who just finished up a prep school year at Chatham (Va.) Hargrave has decided to suit up in the maize and blue next season.
Colton's coach at Hargrave, Kevin Keatts, confirmed the news.

"Colton went ahead and committed to Michigan," Keatts told Rivals.com. "I think he was really impressed after having a chance to visit those guys. Seeing how they use their forwards was very intriguing to him."
A fluid athlete who can play inside and out, Colton spent much of his time playing on the interior for Hargrave. However, Keatts says that the way Colton played for him was more to do with the way Hargrave's team was made up than any lack of perimeter skill from Colton.
"I think what a lot of people don't understand is that when they saw him he was more of a warrior and rebouner type guy," said Keatts. "What they didn't get to see was his skill package. We started three guards and needed him inside so he didn't get a chance to showcase himself on the perimeter."
After originally signing with Tulane, Keatts doesn't anticipate Colton having any issues with getting fully released to Michigan.
"He will be released, that won't be a problem."
