Michael Umeh A Player To Watch In 2003

Michael Umeh, a 6-2, 170-pound junior point guard from Hightower High School in Missouri City, Texas, had a terrific City of Palms tournament last week in Fort Myers, Florida.
Umeh had several neat performances during this talent-rich tournament. In fact, in one game we watched, Umen was the main reason why Missouri City Hightower defeated Abramson of New Orleans (LA), 69-67.

Umeh led Hightower with a great offensive performance. He scored 31 points to spark his team to victory. Umen also showed his quickness and great hands -- he had six steals in this game too.
Umeh told us he is interested in several schools. "I am interested in Oklahoma,
Baylor, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Seton Hall," Umen told us at the City of Palms tournament. "Oklahoma
showing the most interest. I would like to hear from Duke."
Academics are very important to Umen too. He is an excellent student. "I don't have any visits scheduled right now," Umeh said.
But Umeh does indicate he plans on taking some spring unofficial visits.
