Michael Blackshear, a 6-6, 218 pound power forward from Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia, PA, told us his two top schools are Temple and UNC-Greensboro. Both schools have offered. Other schools that have offered include St. Peter's, Towson, and Boston University.
But Temple and UNC-Greensboro are the two clear frontrunners. It is a two-horse race between those two. "I've had in-home visits with Temple and UNC-Greensboro, and I've visited Temple," Blackshear said. "If either Temple or UNC-Greensboro offer me a visit in the future, I will take it."

Blackshear added: "You're looking for a good basketball program, but you're also looking for a good education. Temple has a great teaching program, and both Temple and UNC-Greensboro aren't too far off from the top schools as far as education goes."
Blackshear spoke about when he might make a decision. "If I get a qualifying score by the November (early signing) deadline, Temple is first," Blackshear said. "If they want to run with it, we can run with it. If I get a qualifying score by the November deadline, I will probably sign with Temple."
Michael has a 2.4 GPA and will take the SAT in October. Michael is a blue-collar front-court player, an undersized power forward who often outworks and outmuscles taller players on the glass. Blackshear was a warrior at the ABCD camp in July, relentlessly crashing the boards and hauling down scores of rebounds. Over the summer, he consistently outplayed bigger players in the post.
