Michael Blackshear Trying To Boost Academics

Michael Blackshear, a hard-working 6-6, 220 pound power forward from Simon Gratz H.S. in Philadelphia, Penn., is still trying to boost his academic credentials in line with NCAA freshman eligibility standards.
According to Simon Gratz Head Coach Bill Ellerbe, Blackshear needs to improve his SAT score in order to be eligible in college next winter.

Blackshear, who signed in the fall with Temple, hit the winning basket last Saturday night at McGonigle Hall as Gratz defeated Germantown Academy at the Scholastic Play by Play Classic.
A rugged inside player, Blackshear collected an errant three pointer by teammate Augustine Woodlin, scoring on a putback to send the Bulldogs to victory.
*It was recently reported that Blackshear hurt himself
