Messy Set For College

Mani Messy, a 6-7, 225 pound combo forward who attended St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, N.J., last year, recently committed to Seton Hall. Back in January, he was certified by the NCAA Clearinghouse as a qualifier. He will attend Seton Hall this Fall.
Messy had committed to Fordham last spring, but after failing to qualify academically, he opted to sit out this year and attempt to qualify. He posted a qualifying test score recently and sailed through the NCAA Clearinghouse, according to his former club team coach, Felix Weekes.

Messy previously told RivalsHoops.com that he had been contacted by programs such as George Washington, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, East Carolina, Penn State and Richmond. He also said he hadn't ruled out Fordham.
A fine athlete blessed with a sleek build, Messy didn't play much at St. Benedict's last winter due to injury. He has been keeping sharp in the past year playing pick up ball and working out with Blair Academy's Luol Deng.
