Merritt Names Leader
Daon Merritt, a 5-7 sparkplug from St. Raymond's H.S. in the Bronx, N.Y., will take an official visit to Richmond the weekend of Oct. 12.
Merritt, who attended this past weekend's Five-Star Hoop Classic this past weekend with the Long Island Panthers, said that Richmond leads Providence and Pittsburgh in his recruiting process.

"Richmond is in the driver's seat, they are number one," Merritt said. "But I am not going to limit myself, so I am going to leave my recruiting open."
Earlier this month, Richmond hired Merritt's high school coach at St. Raymond's, Gary DeCesare. That has given the Spiders a leg up in Merritt's recruitment.
