Mercersburg Academy PG Drawing Interest
Romone Penny, a 6'1'' 170 pound point guard from Mercersburg Academy in Mercerburg, Pennsylvania and a member of the class of 2003, has attracted the interest of a slew of mid-major type programs.
Penny has heard from Utah State, William and Mary, Davidson, Columbia, UMKC, American, Towson, Brown, and Bucknell. Bucknell has offered.

Penny, a native of Minnesota, is a lead guard with a quick first step. He is a very solid on-the-ball defender.
Romone is averaging 12 points and 5 assists for Mercersburg and coach Mark Cubit.
Penny competed this summer with Team Minnesota, as well as a stint with The Richmond Squires.
Penny is a very capable student who has scored 960 on the SAT. He recently took the test again and is aiming to score much higher.
