Mensah Improves Stock

Kojo Mensah, a cagey 6'1'', 175 pound point guard from Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn, has improved his stock with his play during the month of July.
Kojo told Rivals Hoops that he is now hearing from Providence, Miami, and Memphis, as well as LaSalle. He had previously heard from Pittsburgh, Iona, Siena, Canisius, Rider, and Hofstra. Iona, Siena, Canisius, Rider, and Hofstra have all offered. Providence assistant Steve DeMeo was on hand at the Real Scout All-Star Classic, as were Pittsburgh head coach Ben Howland, Iona assistants Craig Holcomb and Tony Chiles, Hofstra head coach Tom Pecora, and a member of Rider's staff.

Mensah is interested in taking some trips in the month of August.
"I'll probably take trips in August," said Mensah. "I'd like to take trips to Providence, Miami, Memphis, and Pitt."
Kojo competed in the Three Stripes and Las Vegas Big Time Tournaments with The Juice Crew. He also attended the Hoop Zone event in New Jersey. Kojo will probably attend the Five Star Honesdale Camp at the end of the month.
Mensah is an extremely athletic lead guard capable of bursting to the hole and finishing with his considerable wingspan and leaping ability. He is a sticky defender with good lateral quickness. Mensah possesses very good court vision and awareness, an aspect of his game that often gets overlooked considering his obvious athletic gifts.
The biggest question mark about Mensah's game is his shooting. It remains to be seen whether he can shoot the mid to long range jumper with consistency.
Mensah recently scored 1010 on the SAT. He carries an 85 average in the classroom.
Kojo's recruitment will be interesting to watch. He may be able to parlay his summer performance into a high major scholarship. Time will tell.
