Mensah Boosts Stock

Kojo Mensah, a very athletic 6-0, 170 pound shooting guard from Bishop Loughlin H.S. in Brooklyn, N.Y., enjoyed a terrific week at the second session of the Five-Star Honesdale Basketball Camp.
Mensah helped the Kings squad win the camp championship with his inspired play. For his efforts, he won both the playoff MVP and sportsmanship awards.

A bouncy slasher with a penchant for making acrobatic finishes, Mensah told Rivalshoops that he has been offered scholarships by Siena, Rider, Quinnipiac, Iona, New Hampshire and Hofstra.
In addition to those programs, Mensah has also had contact with LaSalle, St. Joseph's, Pittsburgh and Providence in recent weeks.
Last year at Loughlin, Mensah averaged 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals per game. He said he has an 83 average and scored a 920 on the SAT.
Mensah spent the summer playing with the Juice Crew All-Stars, making pit stops at the Three Stripes Classic in New York and the adidas Big Time Tournament in Nevada.
After a good summer, Mensah's recruitment could see a spike in the fall. If he is able to continue honing his point guard skills, then he could be a very intriguing prospect due to his quickness and athleticism.
We will keep you posted on his recruitment in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
