Mensa turning heads in West Virginia

2010 prospect Kofi Mensa from Beckley (W.V.) Mountain State Academy has caught the attention of several schools with a couple big games against The Patterson School and Oak Hill.
Against The Patterson School, the 6-foot-4, 170-pound shooting guard scored 29 points and went for 20 points and eight rebounds against Oak Hill Academy.
In his first year at Mountain State Academy, Mensa, who is originally from Toronto, is already receiving strong interest from Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, St. Joe's and Marshall.
"Kofi is extremely athletic," said Mountain State Academy head coach Rob Fulford. "He is a streaky shooter, but a good shooter. He has a knack for the game as a pure scorer and has a huge upside. He is a high major prospect."
On the season, Mensa is averaging 23 points, six rebounds and four assists per game.
