Memphis, Fresno, Pitt, IU Look At Harris

One of the better available senior guard prospects at last weekend's Charlie Weber DC Capitol Invitational was 6-foot-1, 170-pound Anthony Harris of Whitney Young H.S. in Chicago, Illinois.
Harris, a scoring lead guard, played with the Worldwide Renegades at the Weber.

"I need to work on my decision making," Harris told RivalsHoops.com. "I am real fast, and that helps me out on defense. I am a good enough shooter that when defenses come up to guard me, it makes me even a bigger threat."
Even though Harris has yet to qualify academically, he will visit Fresno State this upcoming weekend (May 2-4). He is also planning official visits to Memphis (May 10-11) and possibly Pittsburgh. Indiana and Penn State are also looking at the scoring point guard, who averaged 23 points and seven assists per game as a senior in 2002-2003.
Harris said he has scored an 18 on the ACT, but he has to boost his core GPA in order to qualify academically. If he doesn't make the grade academically, Harris would have three options: sit out at a Division I school next year, attend prep school or attend junior college.
