While the Long Island Panthers were winning a tournament title at the Charlie Weber tournament in Washington, D.C., Joakim Noah was impressing college coaches. Noah, a long 6-foot-8, 200-pound rising senior power forward from Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, N.J., is the son of former French tennis star Yannick Noah.
Noah has played well this spring for the Long Island Panthers program. For a big man, he is athletic to outrun smaller bodies down the floor in transition. Noah always plays hard and has a nice touch on his perimeter shot. The intensity is also a positive factor that he possesses.

Noah started out as a freshman at the United Nations School in New York before spending two years at Poly Prep.
According to Noah's AAU coach, Gary Charles, the young man is now being looked at by Maryland, St. John's, Miami, Seton Hall and DePaul. This list will likely grow as Noah will be spending his summer with the Panthers, a team that plays in most highly regarded tournament.
