McNeil Piling Up Offers

Japhet McNeil, a shifty 5-10 point guard from Christ the King H.S. in Middle Village, N.Y., has started to rake in some Division I scholarship offers this winter.
CK Head Coach Bob Oliva told Rivalshoops.com that Niagara, Siena and Bradley have each offered McNeil scholarships. Others now inquiring include Florida International, Towson, Canisius, Loyola (MD) and St. Peter's.

Prior to the start of the season, McNeil took his only visit thus far to St. Peter's College of New Jersey.
McNeil's recruitment has been buoyed by the fact that he received a qualifying score on the SAT. Couple that with the fact that he is one of the top available point guards left on the shelf this winter, and you have a recruiting scenario that is likely to continue to grow in the coming weeks.
McNeil uses his speed and quickness to dart through defenses and set up his teammates. Last Sunday night at the Prime Time Shootout, he was instrumental in helping the Royals post a 76-51 victory over Christian Brothers Academy of Syracuse, N.Y.
